CENTRE STAGE DANCE AND DRAMA

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The staff at Centre Stage Dance and Drama (hereafter called CSDD) are professional and dedicated teachers.  In order to maintain these standards and for the enjoyment of students, places within CSDD are offered under these conditions:

  • In order for your child to receive the best teaching possible, the school should be informed in writing of any medical, educational or pastoral conditions which need consideration.
  • Once your child has been registered with CSDD, thereafter ONE FULL TERM’S NOTICE is required, in writing, should your child decide that he/she no longer wishes to attend any class.  Failure to give appropriate notice will render the parent/guardian liable for a further term’s fees.  Failing to attend class does not constitute the giving of notice.
  • Fees are due termly.   Please note that late payments of more than one month incur a £5.00p surcharge.
  • Students are expected to attend class every week in term time.  In case of illness or other circumstances, the teacher should be informed.
  • Students are expected to attend rehearsals when preparing for productions.  Failure to attend sufficient rehearsals may result in students being asked to withdraw from a certain event.
  • Students are expected to be committed members of CSDD and participate fully in class.  They are expected to behave in an appropriate manner at all times.
  • Punctuality is expected.  The scheduled time for classes is the start time, NOT the arrival time.  Students must be prepared and ready to start classes on time.
  • When children are preparing for an exam, extra coaching is mandatory, which will incur a charge to cover the extra tuition and exam fees.  Failure to attend these coaching classes will result in the student being withdrawn from the exam.
  • The decision on whether a student takes an exam rests solely with the teacher.

UNIFORM

  • DANCE    Correct uniform is compulsory for each dance discipline as required by CSDD.  The uniform should be acquired from CSDD within the first month of attendance.  Hair for GIRLS attending ballet should be in a bun or held back with a band if hair is short.  A French plait, bun or suitable hair style off the face for modern and/or tap.  BOYS must have tidy hair or tied back if long.  If a t- shirt is used for modern, tap or hip hop, the CSDD uniform T shirt must be worn.  Please refer to the teacher regarding the correct uniform.
  • HIP Hop   The  CSDD t-shirt is mandatory along with loose fitting black trousers and CLEAN trainers.
  • DRAMA     The CSDD t-shirt is mandatory along with loose fitting black trousers and black jazz shoes.
